Overview
Penis Envy magic mushroom is one of the rarer and more sought after Psilocybe cubensis amongst psychonauts. Its strange name comes from its distinctly phallic shape, but in addition to its whimsical appearance and nomenclature, the penis envy is respected as one of the most psychotropic mushrooms available in Canada.
This magic mushroom strain grows very slowly but yields large fruits, and mycologists suggest that its slow growth results in more time for psilocybin production.
Legend has it that this mushroom was bred by the altered statesman Terence McKenna, sometime in the mid-to-late 70’s.
Experience
Penis Envy cubensis is reported to be 2-3 times stronger than normal cubensis mushrooms. It is absolutely not for beginners. For this reason, you should carefully choose the circumstances when you use this mushroom.
The PE vibe lasts a long time. It does not come on in “waves” as most cubenses do. It’s a solid ride from start to finish.
Users report intense feelings of euphoria, uncontrollable laughter and joy, unlocking the doors of perception, time distortion, hallucinations both when eyes are closed or open, synesthesia (i.e. “seeing” sounds and “feeling” colours) fractal surfing, living geometry, even cosmic entities. Wonderful experience, very strong. We took 3g each and it only took 5 to10 minutes until we felt it. We set intentions and created our home with warm lights and lots of cozyness. At times I was tired and only wanted to curl up and go internal, then I got spurts of energy, wanted to walk (or roll :D) around and do Yoga. The colours, sound and and vivid images were beyond fascinating and I can say that for 3-4 hours I was in a constant state of bliss. I think the Penis Envy is perfect to dive deep – although mostly just fascinated by the experience itself, I did get some good lessons. I also had very strong flashbacks to my Ayahuasca experience 8 years ago and felt it had a lot of similarities.
Really strongly recommend to treat it as plant medicine too, and know that there is more you can get out of this experience than just a nice trip! See how you feel after the journey and trip to take some of the lessons back into your daily life.

(Copied from The Golden Teachers because I used them the same way) I really took my time to evaluate these, they are excellent. I processed these into a powder and made other compound powders with other roots and herbs (really common things like tumeric, lion’s mane). This is nothing groundbreaking, a lot of people do the same thing. Initially, I was skeptical of course, I found most people’s claims about these mushrooms ridiculous but I was wrong, dead wrong. If you’re on the fence give it a try. While I don’t believe essential oils cure cancer, kidney stones and world hunger (if you do that’s fine with me), the powder added to a smoothie occasionally really does work wonders (some of the other products come with a guide, if you want to microdose, which is fantastic). I also add it to lemon juice (do NOT do this if it’s your first time, I’ve been doing it for a few years now, I won’t go into the chemistry but you can just eat a small amount as is, you don’t need to get fancy. If you interested see: “lemon tek”) but I am probably preaching to the choir. If you didn’t know here you go: lemon mushroom “shots”! I bought quite a bit of tools to ensure that my measurements are lab accurate but you don’t have to go to such lengths. Follow the guide and you’re set.
I finally finished most of the powder I made, overall it was lovely.

I had started my psychedelic healing trips earlier this year with Golden Teachers to get the feel for things because I had never tried mushrooms before. I then ordered 7g of Penis envy from Three Amigos. I took two smaller doses over a couple months to see how I handled the stronger strain.
My final trip, I took the remaining 4+g and WOW!
I started out by laying down but then had to get up and move around. I was back and forth throughout my house, stopping every so often to just stare into what I can only assume were other dimensions. :) I’m pretty sure all that was coming out of my mouth was “what the F is going on?”. I questioned the reality we think we live in.
I thought I could see photons/light and I could see that everything is connected.
At one point I looked past my walls into vast emptiness that seemed to echo my voice and make me think I/we are possibly in a simulation.
I saw my “relatives”/lineage when I stared at myself in the mirror. I aged and got younger as I watched. I could swear I also saw electronic circuits in the mirror.
As I was looking outside through my window some kids went by on hover scooters with no wheels. Apparently I time travelled as well. ha
I was amazed with the trip and am still unpacking some of the things I experienced.
